July 2005 - Gary appears on A&E's new hit reality T.V show Family Plots!!! On Sunday, July 24th, at 9:00 pm, Gary appeared on A&E's new hit reality T.V show called Family Plots, which is a reality show about a family that runs a mortuary. In this episode, Shonna invites Gary to test if the funeral home is haunted by the spirits of the dead they've prepared. But it's when Gary turns his attention to the living and gives readings to the cynical gang that everyone is thrown for a loop.
June 2005 - Gary's has June 2005 Spiritual Retreat in Ojai!! Gary's 2005 Spiritual Retreat was held on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of June, in Ojai, California to a group of 45 people. The weekend started out with an ice breaker on Thursday evening at the Ojai Valley Inn and continued on Friday there as well. Friday evening, Gary and all the attendies, went to Gary's favorite beach to meditate. On Saturday, Gary brought everyone to The Center for Earth Concerns in Ojai, which is surrounded by the most beautiful botanical gardens, coy ponds, bird sanctuaries, and Ojai mountain scenery. There, Gary started the day with a buffet style lunch followed by some teaching, meditating, and answering questions. Later that night they enjoyed a wonderful dinner catered by Seafresh of Ojai, while listening to the hypnotizing music of Darin Schaffer who played the sitar among other instruments. After dinner, the group was entertained by a fire dancing/belly dancing show which brought the house down. On Sunday, it was back to the Ojai Valley Inn, where Gary led everyone through a meditation to get rid of depression which was recorded and will soon be for sale on Gary's website. After that, Gary and company went to Boccali's Restaurant to eat and then up to Ojai's upper valley, where Gary ended the weekend by answering questions.

December 2004 - Gary celebrates the holidays in his new Bed & Breakfast! Gary decided to celebrate the holidays this year back in North Carolina at his new Bed & Breakfast. Since the holiday season is the perfect time of year to gather with family and friends, Gary headed back east to where he grew up in rural North Carolina to spend time at his new Bed & Breakfast and decided to throw a big party while he was there for all of his family and friends. Gary is still in the process of renovating, and hopes to be open by the end of 2005.

June 2004 - Gary meets William Hung! On Saturday, June 5th, Gary appeared at the 'Second Chance Prom' held by Pittsburgh's Star 100.7. This was for anyone who didn't get a chance to go to their prom in high school. The entertainment for the night was none other than William Hung of American Idol fame!
May 2004 - Gary meets Ozzy and Sharon! On May 1st, Gary attended famous romance author Danielle Steel's annual charity event; The Star Ball, held at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco to raise money for the Nick Traina foundation. Gary sat across from rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife (talk show host) Sharon Osbourne as they bid on...what else?...you guessed it....another Dog!
February 2004 - Gary comes back to Portland!! Gary appeared again this month on ABC's hit morning T.V show AM Northwest which is on at 9 am on KATU Channel 2!! Gary took some more questions from the audience as well as questions from the hosts Cathy Marshall and Ken Ackerman!!
January 2004 - Gary debunks urban ledgends on The Learning Channel! This month Gary appeared on TLC's 'Mostly True Stories' to debunk some urban myths such as; a random psychic goes on a TV talk show to predict a serial killer will murder some college students at a nearby big 10 college campus on Halloween night. Gary, saw this story as not true and even went on to say how he recalls this story resurfacing every 10-20 years with the details a little different but the story remains the same.
December 2003 - Gary does The Jerry Springer Show! Do you remember what happened when the girl who was skating while eating peanut butter crashed into the boy eating a chocolate bar? That's right! One of the greatest candy bars of all time was discovered! Well, it happened again!!! Except this time the skater was Gary Spivey and he crashed into the Jerry Springer Show making the best television show of all time!! This episode (which will air in early February) has all of the elements of a classic TV episode that will go down in history as one of the best Jerry Springers shows ever!!
November 2003 - Jerry Hall Seeks Gary for British TV!! Gary was on the BBC this month as part of a show called Jerry Hall's Gurus!!! You may remember Jerry Hall as the ex-wife of rock star Mick Jagger. Well, now she is on her spiritual path investigating every corner of the world for spiritual leaders and Gurus!! The show focused on her journey to America and what she found, and what she found was Gary Spivey on a mountain top meditating with his spiritual retreat attendees!!
October 2003 - Gary wakes up Oregon!! Gary appeared on television sets all over Portland, Oregon when he appeared on ABC's hit morning TV show; AM Northwest which is on at 9 am on KATU Channel 2!! Gary took questions from the audience as well as questions from the hosts Cathy Marshall and Ken Ackerman!! After the airing of that show they decided to make Gary a regular monthly guest!! So get ready to wake up to Gary Spivey!!
September 2003 - Gary's September Spiritual Retreat catch ORBS on film!!! Gary's September Spiritual Retreat was an Advanced Spiritual Retreat for people that have come to one of his other spiritual retreats in the past. It's kind of like a reunion retreat and learning a higher level of spirituality at the same time! This years Advanced Spiritual Retreat had the added extra bonus of catching ORBS on film! Throughout the retreat attendees would take photos during special meditations and to their surprise what appeared on the photos turned out to be clearly visible ORBS! As you can see in the photos below, the ORBs appeared everywhere that weekend! Some photos have 1 ORB, and some have 100's of them!!!

Gary celebrated our nations 227th birthday by throwing a party at his house in the Ojai Valley of Southern California on the 4th of July!! Like all of Gary's party's, it ended being a huge shindig, with only one day to prepare!!! The party was catered by Seafresh, which is everybody's favorite restaurant in Ojai, and the music was provided by everyone of Gary's friends that knows how to play an instrument, including Gary himself who at one point got up and played the piano for one song and then switched to bass guitar for the rest of the set shocking everyone who didn't know he could read music as well as palms!!!

After
living in Beverly Hills for the past year, Gary decided it was time
to move back to Ojai, California. "The energy in Ojai is like
nothing I have ever felt in the whole world, and once you get used
to that amazing energy, it's really hard to be away from it for
too long." Before moving to Beverly Hills last year, Gary owned
a ranch in the upper Ojai Valley. He recently moved back to Ojai
to a new house in downtown Ojai right across the street from his
offices which remained in Ojai even after he moved to Beverly Hills.
Growing
up in rural North Carolina, Gary always dreamed of going back one
day and buying a house to settle down in. Well, since we don't see
Gary settling down anytime soon, on his last visit back home, he
decided to buy an old
historic Victorian house, which he is in the process of completely
renovating. Built in 1896, Gary's new Bed and Breakfast was located
at the junction of two major railways in North Carolina. Where the
North/South railway met the East/West railway, many times the passengers
would get off the train and would have to spend the night to wait
for the train to pass the next day. Even though they didn't call
it a Bed & Breakfast back in those days, in essence it was exactly
that. People would spend the night, wake up and eat breakfast and
take off again. Nowadays it is still the perfect place to stay,
with Pinehurst and Troy only a short driving distance away as well
as Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh all within equal distance.
Gary hopes to get the Bed & Breakfast up and open by winter
2005.
